With the launch of the all new MOJO Marketplace, we’re upgrading every facet of the marketplace. That includes our affiliate program.

A big part of our success is due to our dedicated and passionate sellers, developers, and affiliates. In order to maintain the trust and passion that we’ve earned over the years from our affiliates, we are making some serious upgrades to our affiliate marketing program. With major changes to our program, naturally we’ll have to adjust the way we’ve been doing things.

To ensure we deliver the best possible platform for our affiliates, we’re going to have some “road construction” going on. We are developing a more intuitive and insightful affiliate tracking portal that allows you to create custom campaigns, track success, and view commissions in real-time. This is going to take some time and hard work. So rather than have you put the commissions that you’re earning from MOJO on hold, we’ve created a detour.

MOJO Marketplace affiliate program commission junction

For now, we’re inviting all current MOJO Marketplace affiliates to transition to our Commission Junction affiliate network. In the meantime, you’ll have better access to reporting, promotional coupons, affiliate links, and more, through the Commission Junction, or CJ, network.

What’s In It for You?

Alright. We totally understand that changing the affiliate links already embedded on your site will be a hassle. However, there are some advantages to switching to our CJ program in the meantime.

1. Higher payouts

Affiliates who promote MOJO using CJ will earn commissions on both new and returning users. In addition, you can now earn commissions on WP Live, a new product that wasn’t commissioned before. (And this is becoming one of our most popular, highest selling products).

2. Better reporting

With CJ, you’ll be able to optimize your affiliate strategy with better KPI reporting. You can better understand what you’re doing right and refine your efforts.

3. A huge network

A perk of signing up with CJ is that you’ll be part of a large network of affiliates. That means you’ll be able to start relationships with other companies on the CJ network and expand your reach.

We apologize for the transition, but we’re confident that these changes improve the program in the interim for all affiliates.

Register for the first time, or re-register as a MOJO Marketplace affiliate through our CJ affiliate portal, and get back on board. There are lots of great things coming in the future, and we’re excited to partner with you.

How to Make Money with Your Blog https://blog.mojomarketplace.com/make-money-blogging/ https://blog.mojomarketplace.com/make-money-blogging/#respond Tue, 04 Apr 2017 15:40:21 +0000 https://blog.mojomarketplace.com/?p=1910 One of the quickest and most popular ways to begin making money on your blog is by affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a way for you to be compensated for making recommendations, referrals, and/or reviews to your existing audience and blog traffic. Your recommendations can be made in the form of a post, an email, or even discount codes. As the affiliate, you are given unique tracking links and every time one of your followers clicks a link and makes a purchase, you get paid!

It sounds pretty simple. However, if you’re new to affiliate marketing, there are some things you will want to consider and some best practices that will make your life a lot easier:

  1. Identify your ideal affiliate relationships. What makes affiliate marketing so effective is that you’re recommending a service that you can personally vouch for – or at least on which you’d stake your reputation. It’s for that reason that you want to choose your affiliate relationships wisely. Start by making a list of all of your favorite products and services. These can be restaurants, cleaning services, or even your favorite websites. Then, begin prioritizing this list based on what you think your blogging audience will be most interested in.

Pro-Tip: You certainly can, and should, have multiple affiliate relationships and products that you promote on your blog, but you’ll want to be careful not to overwhelm your followers with too many affiliate links. It will come off as annoying, commercial, and disingenuous.

How many are too many? That’s your call and depends greatly on the look, feel, and purpose of your blog.

  1. Apply to many affiliate programs. Based on the list that you came up with, you can begin applying for affiliate programs. Simply search online for the service or product at the top of your list. Most companies have affiliate application pages that can be easily searched and/or clicked from their homepage. Begin applying to the affiliate programs from your list, and begin comparing commission/payout structures, referral windows (cookie durations), and other affiliate agreements to determine what best fits your needs and the needs of your followers.

Pro-Tip: Want to broaden your affiliate scope? Consider joining an affiliate network (it’s free) where you can search for and be paired with potential companies interested in becoming affiliated with you.

  1. Create content frequently. Regardless of the purpose of your site, your followers are coming to you for fresh ideas, entertainment, deals, and content. Within that content is where your affiliate links will live. If your content becomes stale, boring, or out of date, your links will not accrue much interest or engagement. Your affiliate links don’t’ have to be reserved exclusively for tutorials or review posts either. You can have affiliate links in the form of ad banners with graphics and ad text, discount codes/offers, or even video content.

Pro-Tip: Always be upfront and transparent to your followers about your affiliate relationships. This will convey a sense of trust that your followers will respect.

  1. Make changes. It’s not very likely that you will hit a homerun right out of the gate. A lot of what will make you a successful affiliate is your ability to test and make changes with your affiliate link placement, ad copy, and even the relationship itself. It’s common for many affiliates to discover that the product or service that you love doesn’t necessarily resonate with your audience. Changing things up often, reviewing your analytics, and re-testing will allow you to see which links/offers perform best. You can even use some of your affiliate commissions to pay to boost those specific posts!

Pro-Tip: While making changes might be necessary, be sure to be patient to allow a sufficient sample size to help you make the best decision possible. Affiliate momentum takes time.

Remember, your success will largely depend on the quality of the content that you’re generating. Never sacrifice the quality and integrity of your site in order to ramp up your affiliate commissions – you’ll end up with adverse results. While you focus on fresh, positive, and engaging content, your followers will increase along with your affiliate commissions.

Before you go! One of the first things your followers will notice about you is your website, and its design and functionality. Consider becoming a MOJO Marketplace affiliate and earn commission by referring the MOJO web products and services for WordPress, Joomla, Magento, and more!

MOJO Marketplace Affiliate Program https://blog.mojomarketplace.com/mojo-marketplace-affiliate-program/ https://blog.mojomarketplace.com/mojo-marketplace-affiliate-program/#comments Wed, 29 Mar 2017 03:07:07 +0000 https://blog.mojomarketplace.com/?p=1887

Affiliate offers are great ways to monetize your site, but not all affiliate programs are created equal.

At MOJO Marketplace, we know that there are endless amounts of affiliate programs all vying for your traffic, which is why we set out – and remain dedicated to – creating the most competitive affiliate program in the web services industry. Check out our payouts, policies, and affiliate bonuses, and let’s start working together!

Payouts

At MOJO Marketplace, our affiliate commissions and payouts are product specific. We do this to make it possible for you to pick and choose which products/services your subscribers would be most interested in and it makes it easy for you to promote MOJO alongside other web services and brand offers. Check it out:

Policies

Payment Dates. MOJO affiliates are paid out on the 15th of every month for the traffic and sales that occurred in the previous month (i.e. Paid on February 15 for all sales in January). Due to payment and processing fees, the affiliate commission balance must be over $50 to be paid. Otherwise, the balance simply rolls over to the next month.

Payment Methods. Currently, MOJO can make affiliate payouts via PayPal or SWIFT Wire Transfer. If you elect to be paid via SWIFT Wire Transfer, there must be a minimum of $500 in your affiliate commission balance. Don’t worry, though! We’re working on adding more payment methods soon!

Affiliate Bonuses

Affiliate referral bonus. You know you’re well-connected and we do too! Why not get paid for referring other affiliates!? MOJO will deposit $50 in your account when a new affiliate activates their own affiliate account via your affiliate link and ID, then drives traffic and revenue.

SWAG, competitions, and more. Need more reasons to begin making money as a MOJO affiliate? On top of the great payouts and flexible policies, we’re constantly rewarding top affiliates with SWAG, promotional competitions with escalated bonuses, and consistent feedback for your campaign optimization.

There you have it! If you’re convinced and ready to begin your MOJO affiliate partnership, activate your affiliate account now. If you have questions or require specific affiliate accommodations, contact me and let’s talk about how we can make it work.

Earn More Money and Boost Your Traffic with the MOJO Marketplace Affiliate Program https://blog.mojomarketplace.com/earn-money-mojo-marketplace-affiliate-program/ https://blog.mojomarketplace.com/earn-money-mojo-marketplace-affiliate-program/#comments Sat, 04 Mar 2017 04:09:46 +0000 https://blog.mojomarketplace.com/?p=2298

The MOJO Marketplace affiliate program is unlike most other affiliate programs in the industry. Our payouts are all product-specific and apply to all sales–not just new user referrals. Why did we choose to be different and structure our program this way? Three big reasons.

1. Mutually inclusive

We know MOJO isn’t the only marketplace out there. We created product-level commissions so you can remain loyal to the other web services brands you promote. And we’re confident that you’ll find products on MOJO that you can’t find anywhere else. For example, we offer professional WordPress help via chat and phone on a subscription basis with our WP Live product.

Let's Start Promoting!

Join the MOJO Marketplace affiliate network and earn commission on every product or service you refer, for new and returning users. If you’ve already signed up, take a look at some of the products and services below, and some ideas for promoting MOJO.

2. Content first, payouts second

We know that successful affiliates have a very specific audience to cater to. And spamming that audience with irrelevant products is not only ineffective, but also makes you seem disingenuous. MOJO’s affiliate program allows you to choose which products, promotions, or services you want to promote, so your content is always useful for your audience, which will make you a more effective affiliate, as well.

3. Never miss out on a commission again

And we don’t believe you should only earn commissions on new users. You worked hard for every referral that comes through, and we want to honor that. You’ll receive commission for all sales, whether it’s a new or returning user.

Sound good? Check out ways you can promote below!

Themes and Templates

Most people trying to build a better website are searching for quality website themes and templates. The thing is, people don’t always know which theme is right for them, and can become overwhelmed by the number of choices–even on a marketplace that stresses quality over quantity. To get you started with themes and templates, here are some ideas for promoting them.

Quality website themes, templates, and plugins.

1. Theme roundups or collections

A common way to promote themes is a roundup or collection post. The idea is that you search for the best themes for a specific purpose. For example, “The Top 10 Real Estate Website Themes.” By focusing on themes that are useful for your audience, you’ll provide value to your readers by helping them find the right theme. And, you’ll be able to refer sales to multiple products in the same post. Just make sure you spend time validating your choices. If they purchase one of your suggestions, you want your readers to be impressed. It will keep them coming back for more.

2. Pillar posts

While theme collections are great for web-pro or tutorial websites in particular, they might not be best for a specialized blog. For example, it a theme collection probably doesn’t work for a fitness or food blog. However, a pillar post or page (something evergreen that lives on your site but isn’t part of your regular posting schedule) might be more effective. For instance, if you include a post or page that teaches your readers how to create a blog like yours, you could promote some themes from MOJO Marketplace that help them do it right.

3. Promo codes

Finally, displaying coupons or discounts on your site is one of the most successful affiliate strategies. Nothing motivates a sale like the promise of a good deal. You can find MOJO Marketplace promo codes on our Commission Junction advertiser portal. We also offer custom discounts on a case-by-case basis, so contact the MOJO Marketplace affiliate manager, Reagan Nickl, to discuss your options.

One-click Installs and Professional Services

We recognize that people trying to build their own websites are not necessarily a developer or designer. That’s why we don’t just sell themes and plugins. We offer some great professional services and turn-key solutions like theme installations, theme configurations, WordPress all-in-one starter kits, and website backups. Here are some ways to promote our one-click installs and professional services.

We’re not all developers and designers.

1. Tutorials

Tutorials are great for driving traffic. When someone needs to figure something out, what do they do? Google it. If you can write tutorials that answer some of the common questions people type into google, you’ll be able to drive more traffic to your site. In addition, if you build up a library of quality tutorials, you have an opportunity to build a following. As a resource for people landing on your tutorials, you can suggest relevant MOJO services and installs (using affiliate links) that will make their lives a lot easier.

2. Banner ads

Affiliate banner ads can be very effective and convert a ton of sales. Depending on the nature of your site, banner ads could be a good way to advertise MOJO services that might be a major help to your readers. Because they are images, banners tend to grab your readers’ attention and interest. Feel free to download some ready-to-use MOJO Marketplace banner ads here.

WP Live

A new MOJO service called WP Live is taking off right now and becoming the flagship product on MOJO Marketplace. WP Live is an on-demand subscription service that provides WordPress support via live chat and over the phone. Our WordPress pros provide customers with help choosing themes, configuring their sites, backups, and much more. Explore the WP Live product and see all we have to offer with this exciting new venture. For anyone using WordPress, WP Live can be a great opportunity to learn and get stuff done. Here are a couple ways you could promote WP Live as an affiliate, but the ideas mentioned above could also apply.

It’s like having a WordPress developer on the payroll.

1. Email campaigns

Do you have an email newsletter or email list you use often? Because of the obvious value of having a WordPress pro a phone call away, WP Live is a great candidate for email campaigns. It provides real value for many of the 75 million WordPress site owners out there, especially those who are just getting started. Boost engagement in your next newsletter, and offer up WP Live as a suggestion.

2. Social media

Use your social media following to promote WP Live. As you build an audience in your area of expertise, you can capitalize on your social media following to provide advice and direct more traffic to your site. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate the value of having a WordPress pro on hand with WP Live. Introduce your audience to WP Live on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.

Far from an exhaustive list, these ideas are just a starting point. Promote MOJO Marketplace products in the best way for your audience. The quality of your site and your content will go a long way toward building an audience and making money on referrals. If our products work for your audience, great! If they don’t, there’s no sense in forcing the promotions on disinterested readers. Use your best judgment and keep an eye out on the MOJO blog for more ways to optimize your affiliate strategy.

Good luck!
