In this story behind the design, we’ll tell you all about one of our favorite theme developers, Rocky Themes. We recently interviewed Rocky Themes and learned about the history behind their amazing multipurpose WordPress theme, Creativo.
New Features Coming to Creativo
But we didn’t just get a history lesson. We also learned about what’s coming in the near future for Rocky Themes, and Creativo, as well. They’re adding an incredibly useful new feature called Creativo Blocks.
NOTE: This feature will be added in the upcoming 6.4 update.
These blocks allow you to use elements from various Creativo templates to build pages the way you want to!
Creating pages will be even easier now, because there are over 100 predefined blocks. For example, re-creating a specific page from a Creativo template that you like can now be done via Creativo Blocks.

You’d think that would be enough of an update, but you thought wrong, because Rocky Themes has been cooking up more and more excellent features and optimizations for this already baller-status theme. Here are some more of the key updates:
New Template: Manhattan + 2 New Elements
In the latest version of Creativo, a new template has been added, as well as two new elements for Visual Composer. The template is called Manhattan and it is a minimal magazine/blog template, integrating the new elements: Posts Slider and Posts Lists.
New Revolution Slider Options
Rocky Themes also added the option to have a Revolution Slider added directly above posts, with individual selection option—this means that each of the posts created can have individual Revolution Sliders set to appear above the content area.
WordPress 4 Post Templates!
For posts, Rocky Themes also added the option for users to choose a template. This is a brand new feature of WordPress 4 and it’s really awesome. You can create different layouts for posts simply by selecting a different template.
A Little Rocky Themes History
RockyThemes is a small WordPress Development company created in 2013 when their first and best selling theme was released: Creativo.
